Zoroastrian Div (Demon) Cast Into a Cave | 19th-Century Persian, Indian Mythology Framed Art Print

A div (malevolent supernatural being) is depicted being bound and cast into a cave by a woman, highlighting the eternal struggle between good and evil in Persian and Indian Zoroastrianism.

Divs are part of the larger Zoroastrian cosmology, which includes benevolent and malevolent spiritual entities. Zoroastrianism teaches that individuals have the freedom to choose between good thoughts, words, and deeds (associated with Ahura Mazda) and evil ones (associated with Divs).
