Ronchi di Cialla Friulano

The Rapuzzi family has deep ties to the Friulan region of northeastern Italy. They are instrumental to the triumphant return of the native varietal Schioppettino, which is an interesting story in its own right. 

Their Friulano serves as another example of their intrinsic ties to Friuli. The vines used in this wine have an average age of 50 years. It sees one day of skin maceration after a stainless steel tank fermentation with native yeasts. The Rapuzzis age this Friulano for at least three months, with repeated batonnage. All of this leads to a wine that is bright, rich, full, and layered with notes of pear, candied lemon, white flowers, and walnuts.
