OLD TIME RADIO'S COMEDY COUPLES

Old Time Radio featured many stage, film, and music stars, yet five real life couples earned pair raves from the air waves on hit series that brought their love and laughter into the homes of millions.

You remember Goodman and Jane Ace (Easy Aces), Phil Harris and Alice Faye (The Fitch Bandwagon), Ozzie and Harriet Nelson (The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet), George Burns and Gracie Allen (The Adventures of Gracie and The Burns and Allen Show), and Jim and Marian Jordan (Fibber McGee and Molly). The blurred lines between their on-stage characters and their private lives sometimes hid colorful contrasts.

Discover the behind-the-scenes activities and events in their lives and careers through the research of a broadcast historian. Their stories parallel the rise of radio as an entertainment medium, and the inner workings of stations and networks provides an electrifying backdrop against which the stars play out their private and public personas.

Old Time Radio, heard now on iPhone, iPad, Android, and PC. Far from passé. Still funny today.
