The title would later launch her return to poetry. A former vice president in higher education, she retired in order to come face to face with the unfinished business of writing. She completed an MFA degree in Creative Writing at Pacific University in January of 2021, launching her as either an old face with new lines, or a new face among old lines. Her more recent poems have been published in \u003ci\u003eLiterary Mama, Door is a Jar, Awakenings Review, Better Than Starbucks,\u003c\/i\u003e and the Village Books anthology.
